Seeing double??.

Have you ever dreamed of having twins one day? hehehe.. I know i may sound very the mentel now but i will admit publicly that i've always wanted many children.. Most of my friends do know that too! ahahaha.. Some also wished they would have twins and have even came out with unique or should i say weird names for them. ahahahaha! Well, it would seem impossible for someone like me who is working in the early childhood line, to not like children. Generally most female friends i know adore little kids. To those who don't, saya betul betul tak paham kenape!!

Well today would be the first time for me to babysit a set of twin boys. Sean & Alex! They just turned two but boy do i have difficulty carrying either one of them. Sungguh berat.com! I was not only watching the two of them but their sisters as well.. Claire & Rachael who came home an hour later after my arrival. Usually i would babysit kids above the age of 3. Potty trained, independent and therefore not much work to do. When i was called up yesterday with a job offer tat includes 2 toddlers & 2 girls, i panicked.. But wait! i need the money.. I can't go NYC without it. You are suppose to shop there.. it's like a rule! ahaha.. Anyway i did accept it and i kept telling myself i CAN do it.. I was Miss Liana to 8 3-year olds back in singapore. I was an expert at changing diapers. 1 min per child with no mistakes. (it took much longer at first and definitely not placed comfortably for the kids.. hehehehe! kesiannyer...)

Sean & Alex! Born a few seconds apart. The same clear blue eyes. Blonde hair but one is wavier than the other. One is bashful and shy, the other approachable. One loves reading, the other loves playing with his football. One loves hugging and snuggling, the other prefers being alone. One loves the train set, the other has a fascination with cars. hah~! By the end of the day, i could distinguish the two pretty easily.

I learned alot today. How to manage two at a time? Firstly, one must be organized. Thank god, the mother is such a perfectionist and very thoughtful. She has everything set up neatly. Set of two clothes, bowls, sippy cups, footballs and stuffs like that. Everything must come in twos. Let just say that mummy raised the twins well. They are like angels. They are so nice to each other and very smart too. Both of them know their abcs and are able to sound out some letters. Alex could even write his name. At aged two? Kidding me? But hey i've observed something while i'm here, parents of smart and talented children do not exposed the kids to cartoons or TV in general. But the kids do watch educational TV shows. Baby Einstein, Dora, Backyardigans seems popular. Anyway the boys are also taught to be independent. Just take for example, dinner time... At two, they are able to feed themselves without too much mess. They are so sweet.. Everytime i passed them a new food or drink, they would say 'thank you'.

I have some good tips for mummys out there. I know that sometimes we tend to feed our kids because we do not want to clear up the mess they make after. By doing that, how can we make them independent? Do not worry about the mess but instead think of ways that could safe you the hassle of changing the kids and clearing up the table. For example, placed a 'cool' tablemat that would definitely captures ur child's attention. For Sean & Alex, mummy placed a mat with over 50 pics of 'Tommy' trains and friends. The boys was not distracted when eating and so are able to finish up every bit of their food. The boys also had to put on an 'eating shirt' over their undershirt when eating. We usually use bibs right? and the kids still get dirty somewhere somehow. So the shirt is a good idea to replace them. After eating, the shirt is taken off and den placed in the washer. Easy? I know, why didn't i think of tat...

So today's entry is about my day and my public announcement of wanting alot of children.. Freaky! What's up with me? What will i be blogging next... I'm not sure what tomorrow will hold but let's just say, Miss Liana is a contented person now. At least i have a plan.. Do you?

By the way, i would like to wish all my chinese friends and daddy too, Gong Xi Fa Cai!! Wishing you a prosperous new year.. I just called my man, and just like every year he's gonna work on the first day itself. Dad, the shop wun go bankrupt without you there ok.. Chill la! Anyway take care guys.. Hai~! I will miss the mandaring oranges, Miranda drinks and peanuts.. ooooh! not forgetting red packets too.. haha! Have fun.. And to the rest, have a great long weekend... My mum got 10 days off from work. And i bet she very de gelisah at home.. So she planned a family outing, spa appointments and dates with obek.. makcik2 ni semua tak tahu duduk kat rumah diam diam la! haha..
