.One Day
by Trading Yesterday
.
If I could change the currents of our lives
To make the river flow where its run dry
To be a protocol of father time
Then I would see you tonight
.
If I could find the years that went away
Destroying all the cruelty of fate
I must believe that love will find away tonight
.
Lonely. Find me, one day you will come
Always for love sake
One day to be loved
.
If I see beyond the here and now
If you could here me calling you somehow
If I could know that love is reaching out
To find you with me tonight
But who can make these promises come true?
Beyond what I can say what love can do?
With every moment leading me to you, tonight
.
Lonely. Find me one day you will come
Always for love sake,
One day to be loved
.
I will stay forever here until that one day comes
Praying time will bring you near, always for your love
If I could change the currents of our lives
To make the river flow where its run dry
To be a protocol of father time then I
Would see you tonight
.
Lonely. Find me
One day you will come
Always for love sake, one day to be loved
Lonely find me one day you will come
Always for love sake, one day to be loved
One day to be loved
One day to be loved
I will stay forever here, always for your love

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
..
I caught the movie 'In the Land Of Women' with Dina and friends last weekend. I fell in love with this song which was played during a scence in which Adam turned around to kiss the girl. Well i would not say it's a Fantastic movie.. It felt like there was no storyline to it and by the end of the movie we kept asking ourselves what was the movie actually about. It left us hanging there. Confused? Yes! Love Struck? Definitely.. Just catch it ok! I mean the whole point of me watching the movie was to see my Adam Brody. That's my kind of guy.. You don't have to be good looking nor egoistic about oneself. Charm your love ones with beautiful words and hearftfelt letters.. Sometimes being witty could be cute too. But not too much ok! There's an unexpected turn in the story and somekind of misguided love! Even though this movie is getting bad reviews, i would still recommend you to catch it.. =)

Rudy Hidayat turns 14 today. What 14??? Oh my, don't you think you are growing too fast? The last time i saw you, you were reaching my height. I'm sure you've grown much taller after this whole 10 months.. (calm down kakak! hah..)
.
I wish my 2 brothers can stop growing and remain below the age of 10 or a little shorter than me. Kakak tak lah worried sangat pasal girlfriend2 ni semua.. You two hated girls den and i hope you still hate them now. hehe! Belajar sampai University baru cari pasangan masing2 ok. Penat2 Kakak jaga u all.. Ajar spelling, homework, bawak u all jalan2 on wkends and most importantly mulut kakak penat nag n nag.. Haha!
.
Rudy, the quiet one. Shy too.. Opposite from both his lil' bro and Kakak. Everybody loves him. But he complains time to time tat ibu loves his Kakak more. Tu memang patut la. Kan Kakak yang paling cute.. ahahahaha! We love you abang.. We are always proud of you. You are Intelligent, well behaved and never give Ibu or ayah any problems. Thank god, you don't turn out a 'mat' or i would have to abandon you.. hehe!
.
You have always been a great brother to me. You make me laugh sometimes but most of the time u and Ardy say the most lamest n nonsense things ever. Whenever you sing, it gives me the chills especially wen u belt out indon/malay songs.. haha! Thank goodness you are learning to play the keyboard and guitar instead. You always sided me when ibu nags at me. Hah! Listen to me and love being manja-ed by me.. I hope you'll stay this way but i know we have to let go of you someday. NOT NOW for sure! You will have to grow and mature. Enter NS (hopefully by ur time, NS is optional.. hehe! crap..) Maybe study abroad (i'm tagging along for sure...) and get married (i'll conduct the interviews ok!)
.
See, i still want you to be my baby brother maybe till the day i die. Ok Kakak is starting to talk nonsense just like our ibu (jgn marah ibu, it runs in the family!)... =) Well let's concentrate on our short term plans instead.. Can't wait to go back and spend my Entire june with u guys! Harris Resort, Sentosa, Komalas, Movies, Arcades n Library for sure... N hopefully we can find new things to do! Wad abt watching fireworks or balloon Festival at Esplanade again? That will be fun... See you soon!
.
Happy birthday little brother
May your dreams and wishes come true,
You are 14 now,
Smart and Handsome too

The sun will always shine
As long as you're around,
I, your big sister, is always here
Whenever you feel down.

UnGlamorous Week
.
While abang & myself are counting down the days till i get home, i didn't know Amy and her brothers are counting down the number of lessons left with me. At the moment, they counted 20 till the 2nd last week of May. They see me at least 4 days out of a week. They made me feel so bad whenever they ask who is gonna teach them once i leave. They even beg me to stay with them till they reach 20 just like me and by then they would not need a tutor anymore. cute kan? The good news is the kids have something else on their mind. The family will be moving closer downtown and all three are gonna attend a very prestigious school. =) I'm happy for them.
.
I've been dreading to attend school this whole week. I fell sick last Thursday evening and slept the whole day thru. 16 hours i'm sure. The flu bug was hitting hard on me. The bodyaches, blocked nose, sniffles, red sorethroat, constant sneezing n fever all at once.. Took over the counter medicine and felt better when the new week started. However it got worse when Aunty G fell sick. She had strep Throat. Very contagious and she's not allowed to enter school. After my 8 days of sniffling and the never ending complains about feeling sick, woke up on a Wed morning and Aunty G announce tat she is gonna take me to see the doc. WHY? WHY? WHY? I didn't wanna get the same shot on the bottom like she did. Most importantly i didn't want to pay over hundreds of dollars for just a visit. After an hour in the doc office, i got some pills and some NASTY stuff to spray into my nostrils. All for 200SGD. Nonsense kan?
.
Even though i wasn't feeling well, i still attend school every single day. I have responsibilities there and i can't back off the very last min. But i did turn down 3 babysitting job offers. I'm not gonna get any babies sick. On the day i visited the doc, both teachers of Class 11 was not in school. Aunty G and family had a medical cheackup for their Visa and the assistant teacher's son was not feeling well either. The poor me was in charge that day and i came home yelling at aunty G how her class had bullied me that day. Crazee, Madness, pulling Hair Day! Nobody was listening to me. Maybe i just didn't have the energy to contain them. They did backflips in class. One complains of a 'fake' tummyache. The other was SUPER rude to me when asked to finish his work. Today when i came to class again, one by one came up to me and said sorry. Was confused at first.. haha! But that was sweet.. They must have gotten some Lashings from Miss Rozina (they are pretty scared of my aunt!). Hahahahaha... Miss Rozina even warned them not to Bully her 'baby'. A young boy came up to me and asked "You are a baby?" with a shocking expression on his face. I don't think i look like his 1 month old baby sister. =)
.
So i guess that's about it.. My not so GLAMOROUS Week (tissue in hand, skin peeling under the nose, dry lips.. sunnguh tak cantik la! heh..) No school on Fri.. Yeah! But a babysitting job at nite.. Kaching$$$Kaching~! haha... Have a Great weekend guys...

Hippity Hoppity Easter
April 5th, 2007
.
Class 11 had an Easter Party on a Thursday morning as Friday was a Public Holiday, Good Friday. Each child brought 12 colourful plastic eggs filled with goodies in them. Poor Miss Liana had to think of many "good" hiding places for all the 288 eggs in total. The children had fun hunting down 12 eggs to take back home. You should see their faces when they were opening these eggs. So enthusiastic and serious all at the same time.. They wanted to make sure they don't get anything "girly" for the boys or anything with Spiderman, Superman & Ben10 for the girls. Spongebob?? Well both parties love it... =) After the egg hunting was over, we had a mini party in class. Of course, this means there will be lots n lots of yummylicious cookies, brownies and cupcakes for all.. Pening kepala teachers... Children HIGH on sugar and thus HYPERactivity is bound to occur! But it's only once in a while.. Holiday Spirit we said! =)
.
I'm a Muslim and i do not celebrate Easter of course. But i learned alot while i'm here about other cultures and religion. One question that was on my mind the whole time while the party was on, "What does Easter got to do with Bunnies and eggs?".. I thought Bunnies gave birth to their young! I learned too that Easter is one of the most celebrated religious day here in America other than Christmas. Easter has something to do with The ressurection of Jesus. Not so good in all this.. But at least i'm aware of such tradition..
.
Here are the pictures taken on that day! Enjoy~

Forever friend,we have shared so much
a special love we have come to know

helped each other in love to growForever friend
within my heart a special place
for you is there
because you are my forever friend and

She never fails to brighten up my day in school nor forgets to give me my much needed BIG hugs and kisses on my forehead and cheeks.. She too never complains when i go on rambling about my love life considering it was pretty much a drama mama kind of story.. haha! She stood by me when i felt shity, always full of praises and advice. I loike!! hehe.. and she always remind me that no matter what happen she will always be my best friend. Jaanu, thanks for calling me the other day. It was a surprise indeed. My Must Read Books (highly recommended!!) ... Y

Shopaholic & Baby
(pending...)
2007
A Novel by Sophie Kinsella
(The fifth book in the Shopaholic series)
.
Kinsella's follow-up to Shopaholic & Sister(2004) finds the irrepressible Becky expecting her first child with her dashing husband, Luke. Naturally, there's shopping to be done: Becky is determined that her child will be as stylish as a baby can be. She couldn't be more overjoyed - especially since discovering that shopping cures morning sickness. Everything has got to be perfect for her baby: from the designer nursery...to the latest, coolest pram.. That includes having the best obstetrician, so when Becky learns about Venetia Carter, who caters to models and movie stars, she's determined to get herself into Venetia's practice. She succeeds, only to discover to her dismay that the stunning Venetia dated Luke in college and may still be carrying a torch for him. Becky will go to any length to keep her husband, whether it be intercepting text messages from Venetia in Latin or hiring a private detective to trail Luke and learn whether or not he has actually been unfaithful to her, rendering marriage over before it has really begun. Through it all, Becky never loses her spark, making this fifth entry in the Shopaholic series every bit as delightful and hilarious as its predecessors. ~ American Library Association

Y As a "typical" Chick Lit reader like me, i was anxiously awaiting the release of this book. I adored the first four books thanks to Yussy who introduced me the first one. I've read so many great reviews abt it and i can't wait to start on mine... I saw the book last Feb at the airport bookshop while waiting for my flight but didn't get it as it was too expensive. USD24 for a hard cover book. I thought i should wait for the paperback book instead. Saw the book again yesterday while shopping with Aunty G, couldn't find the one i wanted and so settled for the hard cover.. haiz~! But it's ok, i'm sure it's worth it.. =) Yussy jangan beli eh! wait 2 more mths... hehe!

The House
(currently reading..)
2006
A Novel by Danielle Steel
.
Sarah Anderson, a beautiful, successful thirtysomething attorney, is having a midlife crisis. She's become a workaholic, spending 60- to 70-hour weeks at the office, and she is involved in an unhappy relationship with a man she only sees on weekends, who refuses to involve her in any other aspect of his life. She lives in a dumpy apartment, which contains the same furniture she used in college, and she has no outside interests other than the sometime boyfriend and her job. Everything changes, however, when an eccentric, elderly client of Sarah's dies and leaves her a small fortune and a message: to use the money for something wonderful, to live well, and to think about something other than work. Following this advice, Sarah purchases the dilapidated old mansion the client had lived in (after finding out that it was her own grandfather who originally built it), breaks up with the cheating boyfriend, and focuses all of her attention on rehabbing the old house. As she works to restore the place, she finds contentment in her new pastime; a nice, normal boyfriend in the architect who is helping her; and familial contentment as both her mother and grandmother find happiness in the purchase of this house. In a novel of daring and hope, of embracing life and taking chances, Danielle Steel brilliantly captures one woman’s courageous choice to pour herself into a dream —and receive its gifts in return. A typical Steel fairy tale. ~ American Library Association
.
Y I would have to say that this isn't one of Steel's best book but maybe it will turn out better at the later part of the story. I'm only midway thru.. hehe! The beginning was a little repetative but it was an easy book to read as it's not confusing or outdated like her previous novels. Danielle Steel was my favourite author back in secondary school. I must have read 3/4 of her books. There are over hundreds out there. Some of her novels that i like are 'The Promise', 'The Ring', 'A Perfect Stranger', 'Daddy', 'The Gift', 'The Kiss', 'The Wedding', 'The House on Hope Street' & 'His Bright Light'.. Thanks Hunny for the book! Saya ader baca hor... =)

Love Walked In 2005
A Novel by Marisa De Los Santos (debut book)
.
Cornelia is a single thirtysomething who lives her life like a series of movie moments. She's a manager of a cafe because she hasn't figured out anything better to do. Her ideal man is Cary Grant. And just when she thinks he'll never show up, he does, in the form of Martin Grace. What she doesn't know is that Martin, with his cool charm and debonair demeanor, has a daughter, Clare. And she never would have known that except that Martin, in a state of panic, shows up with the girl at the cafe after her mother had a breakdown and left Clare to fend for herself. Estranged from his daughter for years, Martin doesn't know what to do with her. Both women's stories are told in alternating chapters, Cornelia's in first person, Clare's in third. This is a first novel with some wonderful and heartbreaking moments scattered throughout, along with some moments that are purely contrived for the forward movement of the plot. Overall, it is a sweet story about knowing what you love and why. ~ American Library Association
.
Y The chapters are alternately told by Clare and Cornelia which could get quite confusing at times. However i love the way the book includes the reader. The author will have this short paragraph written in brackets like as though she's talking to you while writing the story. Quirky to me.. hehe! It draws you in and makes you feel connected to the characters. Read it and you'll love it too..

The Memory Keeper's Daughter
2006
A Novel by Kim Edwards
.
On a winter night in 1964, Dr. David Henry is forced by a blizzard to deliver his own twins. His son, born first, is perfectly healthy. Yet when his daughter is born, he sees immediately that she has Down's Syndrome. Rationalizing it as a need to protect Norah, his wife, he makes a split-second decision that will alter all of their lives forever. He asks his nurse to take the baby away to an institution and never to reveal the secret. But Caroline, the nurse, cannot leave the infant. Instead, she disappears into another city to raise the child herself. So begins this beautifully told story that unfolds over a quarter of a century in which these two families, ignorant of each other, are yet bound by the fateful decision made that long-ago winter night. ~ The Washigton Post's Book World
.
Y I fell in love with the story just by reading the description at the back of the book. To me this is an emotional and memorable book. It is so engrossing and different from any other book i've read before. Everything that happens in the book happens because of the decision one man makes. Anyway there was this part in a letter send to David from Caroline that reads "You missed a lot of heartache, sure. But David, you missed a lot of joy." I cried.. Well i cried reading alot of books actually! hehe.. I felt even sad after the story ended.. I hate reading stories with sad endings. Boo Hoo!
.
.
My Sister's Keeper
2004
A Novel by Jodi Picoult .
Thirteen-year-old Anna Fitzgerald walks into the office of lawyer Campbell Alexander and announces she wants to sue her parents for the rights to her own body. Anna was conceived after her older sister, Kate, developed a rare form of leukemia at the age of two, and has donated bone marrow and blood to her sister. Now she has been asked to donate a kidney, and she intends to refuse. Campbell is a jaded young man who nevertheless decides to take her case pro bono. Anna's parents are shocked when they learn of her lawsuit, and her mother, a former civil defense attorney, decides to represent them. Anna refuses to budge on her position despite the fact that she clearly loves her sister and longs for her family's happiness. As the gripping court case builds, the story takes a shocking turn. Told in alternating perspectives by the engaging, fascinating cast of characters, Picoult's novel grabs the reader from the first page and never lets go. This is a beautiful, heartbreaking, controversial, and honest book. ~ American Library Association
.
Y I have never read any of Jodi Picoult's books before but this one intrigued me soo much that i am prepared to buy more book of hers. The narrative switches to each of the family members, Anna's lawyer and legal guardian. A little confusing for me but after while i got the hang of it and totally immersed myself into the story. A page-turner and A SURPRISING CLIMATIC ENDING.. It was unexpected and i couldn't sleep the whole night thru just thinking back of the story from the start till ending again.
.
Y______________________________________________________________________________Y
.
I bought over 10 novels for the past 8mths while i'm here... I used to read alot back in Secondary School and more when i was younger. I remember reading till way past my bedtime and had to hide the book under the cover while Ibu tucked me in bed. A while later i would take the book and stand by the window, reading with the help from the light of the street lamppost. Maybe that's the reason for my bad eyesight. So Ibu, don't go blaming me for not eating enough carrots ok... hmph!
.
I prefer novels than books like 'Da Vinci Code' or 'Harry Potter'.. I rather watch the movie instead. heh! But anyway i gotta curb my spending on these books... I'm only allowed to take home with me 2 luggages ok. Macam maner? These books cannot fit in it with my dozen other shoes, bags and clothes. By the way, my bf 'lovingly' reminded me that i had too much clothes (more like naggings actually!! Ibu tak la seteruk mcm dier)... haha! he even asked to compare each other's wardrobe.. Giler ke aper? Agaknye dier jealous la... hehehe! Dun worry hun, i'll shop with you when i come back ok.. Oh and i will promise you that i will save as much as i could. Pinky Swear!! Harris Resort here we come~

62 days to go...
.
I've been working my a** off for the past two weeks and will be working even harder for the next 2 months.. Giving tuition to 5 kids every single weekday and babysitting on some evenings and weekends [usually till midnite].. All for the money $$$$!! hehe..
.
There are so many things planned this coming June.. I'm super-dee-wooper excited! My trip to Harris Resort in Batam with my babies, Friend's bday celebrations, Camping with the family, Cousins gathering, a visit to Sentosa to see Oscar with my boys, VIVO dates, Sec Skool & ECH babes gatherings and of course tat "shhhshhh" event.. wink* Secret la! ahahahaha... Gonna be a busy June for me!
.
Even though i'm counting down and have been very very eager to go home, i feel scared n sad too. I'm gonna miss everyone here.. The parents have been very very nice. They have always been so supportive and they always offer me a place to stay if ever i decide to continue my studies or work here since my aunt n family will be moving to Aust sometime soon too. Sweet isn't it? Even when Aunty G and family left me behind when they visited Aust last Spring, many parents wanted to take me in for that week but i abit segan la. haha..
.
About Ulfy's question, well dear.. All the children knew that Miss Rozina(aunty G) will be leaving to Australia this June and they know that i'm leaving too. I hope they'll miss me.. ahahahaha! But for the Williamsons family, they are actually planning to come down to Singapore.. Cool kan? I'm so excited.. I'm always promoting SG to all the people here. From the zoo, to Sentosa, the ferris wheel, cheap transportations, new cultures, CHEAP Shopping and of course the oooooh sedap food.. That one i think is a highlight to just anybody. One thing i'm proud of our country is that we are made up of different races and thus gives a whole new cultural experiences for our visitors. But it still pisses me off when people have not heard of our country. Trust me, there's ALOT of them. It irks me more when they associate our island to somewhere off coast of China or HK... Kena Smack baru tahu! Some have not even heard of Malaysia. Don't bother explaining what 'malay' is... They don't believe us when we say we are from asia. You see, they think tat "asians" are the Orientals only. Kan mataku tak sepet... hehe! Most of the time, they either see me as 'hispanic" or a mix of something.. Haiya, that's why i get stares from the wrong kind of ppl! cheh...
.
Going home means i'm going back to the same routine i follow before i left. Working doesn't entice me at all. I'm gonna beg my parents to send me somewhere else to study again. I rather study than go to work. ahahaha.. But den, i love teaching and i want to have a class of my own again. And of course i need a job to support my family as well. Ibu how bout u retiring by 45? hmmmm actually kan, u work lagi bagus. Jadi tak merayap sana sini dgn aunties2 yg lain tu. haha.. Den u can also pay for ur own spa, facials, shoppings on ur own. =) Of course la, anak kesayangan ibu akan belikan ibu something... But before that, prove to me that i'm more special than the other 2 boys. heh!
.
Well even though it's already Sunday, i can't wait for the weekends... Have a great week people! I hope mine will be just as good as yours...
.
Love, Liana
