I have been babysitting the past 2 days and i so love it.. Not only do i get to see Carter and Abby again, i get to look after their new baby brother Chase as well. Just 2 weeks ago i was left alone for 4 hours looking after a 2month old baby. I don't understand why the baby's parent could trust me when i don't trust myself around babies that young. But i survived. the baby only cried when he needs a nappy change or feeding time.
Den yesterday Ms Amy called and asked me to watch her newborn son. 7 weeks old only leh.. haiyo die la! She left at 10.30 and only came back at 3. she did come home twice to breastfeed the baby. But you know what, i love babies.. They smell so good. But oh my do they stink when they poop..
Chase is too cute! Just last weekend he started smiling and so he was smiling alot especially when you talk to him. Just by looking at him you wouldn't believe tat he's just 7 weeks old. This ang moh baby macam giant la! I miss him now.. I kept kissing him and even when he's fast asleep i would still carry him ard and just lay him on my chest or arms. My shirt still smells of him. ahhhhh!
Today i get to spend another 2 hours with him. Have never been this excited for a babysitting job. heh! The rest of the day i had to look after the other 2 siblings.. They wanted to swim in their backyard and have lunch outside. If only i could have my own pool.. that will be oh so cool!
3 days left and i'll be on tat airplane heading back home...

Paarty like a ROCKSTAR!!!

It was suppose to be a night spend with my close sg/texan buddies as it was my last wkend here. I was given the chance to pick out a restaurant and chose 'Joe's Crabshack'.. I had fish n chips while the rest had crabs and some other seafood. Oh ya, dessert was awesome too. =) Thanks Uncle John for paying for everyone.

Next up is Roxy Club. Aunty G reserved a table for us. None of us have visited the club and she picked the place cause it's for 18 and Up since Dina and Jasmine just turned 18.
Guess what? When i entered the club, i turned to Aunty G and said "I feel like i'm in Singapore!".. Why? The club is FULL of bengs and lians.. I've never seen so many of them all at once here in Texas. It was hilarious. I gotta admit la, they are still quite attractive since most of them are ABC (american born chinese).. Full of slangs, they dress well and of course they dance better too. hehe! But we had fun among ourselves. Dina and i even got a chance to go on stage upfront and dance to our favourite song 'cupid shuffle'... I couldn't stop laughing!!

Oh Aunty G surprised me too by sending a dedication thru the DJ. We were just hanging out on our spot, when the DJ called out my name and annouced to everyone that i'm going back to Singapore. Ok i gotta admit tat it took quite some time for me to realized tat it was meant for me. Only den i started screaming and everyone cheered for me. I was a happy girl that night! Thanks Aunty G and the rest of you for spending tat last wkend with me. It'll be my turn to take you guys out when you come visit me in Singapore ok?

Dina's Graduation
How many other people graduated from your school the same year you do too?
Let's see, for me there's 6 classes moving out of school. And in each class there's about 40 students. That will make up to 240 in total. Guess how many students graduated in Dina's class? Nearly a thousand.. Yes u heard me right. Their graduation ceremony was held in a stadium. Besar la awak! Look at the number of family members attended that day.. Kalah national day kiter! So if there's abt 1000 students tat means i would have to sit thru about 70% of them first before hearing Dina's name called up.. They go alphabetically so 'Sokol' is somehwere 3/4 thru! Penat saya tunngu.. Speech sini, speech saner, national anthem, school song, pledge, prayers lagi.. aiyoh! biler nak habis? While waiting, we took pictures of ourselves and uncle John who was fast asleep and was only awaken to clap for Dina. ahahahahha! tat was funny...
We left the stadium after 11 tat nite den head to this Jap restaurant tat aunty g recommended. A very nice place.. Nice interior, delicious sushi, very chic and expensive too! There you'll find the rich and glamorous asians. ermmm aunty g forgot to metion to both uncle john and myself that they play SUPER LOUD techno songs in there... Of all music, why Techno in a Jap restaurant. But it's kinda cool.. There's a female Jap DJ spinning the music in a glass box on the 2nd floor. =) Sorry no pics of the restaurant but do take a look at sleeping beauty! hahahaha...

Last Week of School
Emotions and this state of mind have been spiralling down right from the start of the week. Mixed emotions brewing inside. I hate saying goodbye. I'm not good at saying goodbyes either. I knew this day would come but i didn't realize how attach i was with all these kids. When will i see them again? Will they remember me? How can i make the most out of my last 2 weeks here? At the same time i'm glad i can come home to my love ones.. N hopefully they are looking forward to see me too! haha..

We took Class 11 to the movie theatre and caught Shrek 3..

Even we adults laugh hysterically.

Splash Day!
Was suppose to go Kingwood Swimming Club but it was raining all week. So instead they played with water outside of class. They had just as much fun! top it off with popsicles... Happy Kids!!
Thursday
Pizza Party Outdoor!
I wasn't there to celebrate with them. I was very tired cause i have been sleeping past midnight the last few days. Sorting pictures and burning them into a CD so tat each child could take their personalize CD home. Packing Goody bags. printing out cards, certificates, name cards and compiling worksheets and yada yada yada... Anyway i was also trying to stay clear from school cause i noe i will break down. I have been crying at night thinking about these kids. i will miss them soo much! I rather say goodbye once and for all on Friday...
Anyway Dina was free tat day and she took me SHOPPING instead. At the Galleria! Met up with Kak Lydia for lunch den we met Yasmin n Chris and shopped around.. That pic on the right is my favourite dessert, Choc Molten Cake! Just thinking abt it makes me happy already.. =)

Goodbye Class 11!
Goodbye Pines!
I'm not gonna post up pictures of me with my red eyes and flared nose. The last day of school was terrible. I cried buckets when i had to bid goodbye to the Williamsons the nite b4 as they are leaving for California and won't return till the day i leave for Sg. Tat nite i could not even look at them, whatmore utter a word. All they hear from me are my loud sobbings.. I tried to stop but i can't! I could only wave goodbye and walk out the door...
On Friday itself, i kept telling myself to think happy thoughts! Think of Bunnies hopping, Mall sales and Robin Thicke.. Why him? Dun ask me, i'm in love with him.. heh! I cried only in the shower and came to school looking good and ready to face the kids.. As we were giving out the certs one kid at a time, this one boy started crying saying he will miss us. Den the girl beside me started crying den another girl sat on my lap and started crying too. Parents cried and what about me? That's when the red eyes and flared nose came about.. I look horrendous when i cry. i can't stop and i'll have this LOUD sobbings.. Very malu i tell you! i moved away from those parents who wants to say goodbye. I can't face them and i just don't want to say goodbye. It was so difficult!
We gave out some party favours for the kids and included our namecards as well with our email address on them. I designed the tag above that goes with the goody bag!!

Garden Wedding...
. Hell Yeah! The internet is back on.. Thank goodness! I'll go insane if i have to go thru another day not seating in front of this screen. I have soooo many stuff to blog about ever since 20th of May, the Garden wedding i last attended.. I'm pretty sure i've forgotten 75% of the things i wanna share but i have pictures that could help me with my entries.. Oh well, my brain is all messed up inside. So here goes...

Here i am on my way to my first ever invitation to a Garden/Beach Wedding in Khemah, Galveston. Seen above is my aunt and me while the princess 'tido', Dina is obviously 'tido'ring behind! hah..

This is a great idea if you are having a wedding. We had fun snapping crazeee pictures of ourselves. More candid and au naturale!!
The location was soo beautiful and it made the whole wedding more romantic and relaxing. Dina and i kept looking at the pool. They should have a pool wedding instead. The pool was the main attraction at the beach house. =)
And yes that's the silly us! Prolly the only few young ones there...
Great food, Great music,Great company makes a Great Wedding!
And of course there's the oh so GREAT me.. hehe!
